Assi is a personal AI assistant accessible via WhatsApp. It connects to your Google account to help you manage your Google Calendar and Gmail.
When you connect your Google account, Assi stores an OAuth access token and refresh token that allow it to act on your behalf. We also store your first name (from your Google profile) and your WhatsApp phone number to identify your account.
We do not store the content of your emails or calendar events beyond what is needed to complete the action you requested.
Assi uses your Google account data solely to perform actions you explicitly request via WhatsApp, including:
- Reading your Gmail inbox to help you draft replies
- Creating and managing Google Calendar events on your behalf
- Creating Gmail drafts on your behalf
We do not use your Google data for advertising, analytics, or any purpose beyond fulfilling your direct requests.
We do not sell, share, or transfer your personal data or Google account data to any third party, except as required to operate the service (e.g. sending messages via Twilio, processing requests via Anthropic Claude AI).
Anthropic Claude processes the text of your WhatsApp messages to understand your requests. No Google account data is sent to Anthropic.
Your OAuth tokens are stored securely on our server and are used only to fulfil your requests. You can revoke Assi’s access to your Google account at any time via your Google Account permissions page. Upon revocation, your tokens are invalidated immediately.
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. OAuth tokens are stored in an encrypted-at-rest database on a private server. Each user’s data is strictly isolated by phone number.
You may request deletion of your data at any time by messaging Assi on WhatsApp or emailing us. Upon request, we will delete your stored tokens and account information within 7 days.
